This updated version of our varieTEA kettle incorporates new features requested by our customers: Preset temperature controls have been moved to the handle for super easy thumb access. The outside is now enclosed in a cool-touch PBA-free plastic while the inside remains entirely stainless steel ensuring the water never touches the plastic. Fast and quiet, this kettle is large with a 1.7 liter volume for when you need ALL the tea, and a softer "ready" beep so your tea operations don't wake the neighbors.
Preset temperatures include: 150F, 165F, 180F, and 195F. To select 212 degrees simply press the "start" button without clicking "set temp".

We have a home at sea level and one in the mountains (7,500 feet). My question is, will this kettle help me make the same delicious tea in the mountains that I currently brew at sea level?

This kettle should function normally at high altitudes, but please note that the boiling point of water at that altitude may be lower. Closer to 200F rather than the standard 212F.

How long does it take to boil?
Asked by Melanie Holderon

Hello Melanie! The more water, the longer it will take. Altitude also plays a role. However, this machine will boil water in just a few minutes.
Answered by Adagio Teason
How long will this hold water at boiilng before it shuts off? I'm looking for a temp variable electric kettle for my delicious tea habit, that would also double as a way to boil water for at least three minutes for sterilization. I have an older version

Hello Ellen! For safety purposes, once this reached 212 degrees it auto-shuts off.
