The Riddler has been pitching questions in the pursuit of evildoing since his first appearance in 1948, and as such is one of the most recognizable villains of the Gotham universe. (Missed opportunities, Mr. Nolan. Missed opportunities.) Whether going by his other moniker, Edward Nigma, or showing up throughout various media with bright green unitards, bowler hats, and/or purple accents in his wake, the Riddler is certainly one of the more, er, fashionably entertaining rogues of the city, always twisting up the general grey matter with puzzles, mysteries, and brain-teasers that take all of Batman’s “world’s greatest detective” credentials to solve. This energizingly flavorful blend of apple, peppermint, and a dash of warm, unpredictable ginger will have you asking -- and answering -- the not-quite-immortal riddle: “What is sweet and minty and lightly-gingered all over?”
