Apples, cinnamon, and raisins are the strong notes I'm trying to evoke here.
I've made this tea, and I can say it certainly SMELLS like charoset, I'm not sure a tea can really taste like charoset. It's kinda like if you boiled charoset and strained it, I guess.
Sadly, there's no date tea to add to round out the flavor, but you could sweeten it with date honey!
This tea is still in the testing phase.
Ever since I started planning my first tea here (not that long ago, granted, but still), inspiration has struck me at odd times. I was lying in bed napping when I got this strange idea that I'd like a tea that evoked the flavors of Passover. What came to the forefront of my mind was Ashkenazi-style charoset.
