Description

Voted the best tea (iced or hot!) three years running by the Primate Post, our Banana tea combines the flavor and aroma of fresh bananas with bright black tea from Ceylon. Once you experience the quality, you're sure to see that we're not just monkeying around.

Story

The earliest mention of bananas is found in ancient Buddhist texts, dating from 600 years before common era. Alexander the Great was the first European to have discovered its taste upon conquering the Indian valley in 327BC. The Chinese were the first to cultivate bananas; plantation records were found from two-thousand years ago. In 650AD, bananas arrive in Palestine, from where Arabic merchants spread it throughout Africa. Finally, in 1502 aboard a Portuguese ship bananas make the leap to America.

"I don't know if I received a bad batch but the banana was awful! It smelled faintly of vomit when I opened it and when I made it, it tasted little better..."

"I absolutely love banana - it's my favorite flavor. As a result, I'm very sensitive to the flavor. I couldn't wait to try this - but I was sooo disappointed. It just tastes like... tea water. I tried flavoring it with Sweet 'N' Low and it brought out a hint of the flavor, but not really. I will continue to experiment with milk, and my sugar crystals when they arrive. Sadly disappointed. :("

"I hate to say it's a bad tea. It simply just has no banana flavor to it. It made a nice iced tea, but again no banana flavor at all. If you are looking for flavor, try another tea."

"I was hoping for so much more from this tea. I love bananas, but this tea tasted nothing like banana. It sort of tasted like a cross between licking envelope glue and dried tree leaves. I don't recommend it."

"A solid banana tea. Rest assured, the flavor of this is not at all fake, as banana can sometimes be. Rather, it's a subtle banana flavor. "
