Description
An ancient Hindu legend recounts the story of the mango tree growing from the ashes of the sun princess who had been incinerated by an evil sorceress. When the mango ripened and fell to the ground, the beautiful sun princess emerged. Our bestselling Mango Tea combines the taste of Ceylon tea with the flavor of perfectly ripened mangoes. Sun princess sold separately.
Story
Mango originated in Southeast Asia, where it had been cultivated for over four-thousand years. Since its discovery, mango groves have spread to many parts of the world, though mostly the tropical and sub-tropical climates. As a result, there are over a thousand different varieties of the mango plant in existence. The mango tree is an evergreen that will grow to 60 feet in height. But it's not benign. Mango leaves are toxic, and may be lethal to grazing animals. The mangos sold in the US mainly come from Mexico and the Caribbean.
"Slight Mango Scent prior and during steeping. A different, yet present Mango Scent after steeping. A good dark color for this good black tea! It's a true Black Tea Taste with Mango undertones. I like it a lot!!!"
"I am a huge fan of this tea. I just love the flavor and I like that I don't have to use a lot of sugar because it is sweet enough on its own. "
"This is the best of the flavored teas I have tried so far. The mango flavor is prominent, but not overpowering. Really delicious!"
"It's an OK black tea. Made it iced and sweetened with Stevia. Not enough mango flavor for me."
"Very smooth and not very overwhelming flavor. It's a favorite around the office."
"This is a great tea. My mom got it in a sample pack and I've since bought her and my sister tins of it. The mango gives a nice flavor without being over-powering. I drink it without sugar or milk. It would also be a very nice ice tea."
