Description

Ginger peach tea has become an American classic. Our version has the soft warmth of ginger with the sweet depth of summer ripe peaches and apricots in a fine Ceylon black tea. Enjoyable anytime of year as a hot tea, we find it to be particularly refreshing iced.

Story

Ginger is indigenous to southern China, from where it spread to the Spice Islands and other parts of Asia. Chinese herbalist continue to call upon ginger to expel cold and restore depleted yang. In the Middle Ages, ginger was brought to Europe by the Arabic traders. At the time, it was primarily used for ginger tea, said to be effective in fighting colds and flu. During Victorian times, shakers of ginger were as common a table accessory as salt and pepper. Today, India is the largest producer of this yang-inducing herb.

"This is the smoothest sweet tea blend I've had in a long time. It's wonderful with a light dinner or just to enjoy on its own. I have two of the 16 oz. IngenuiTEAs and use a heaping tbl. per maker. Then I add 1/2 cup sugar per half gallon. It's sweet, but it doesn't make your teeth wince!! I also love the iced mojito by Jamie Strand as a perky, refreshing blend. "

"Yummy! This is a great tea for weekday mornings when I need to get going early. The peach is more natural than other brands I've tried, and the ginger is just enough to compliment the fruitiness."

"The ginger accents the peach flavor nicely. It is best as an iced tea."

"Pretty good, worth buying a small amount to have around for guests or a spontaneous craving."

"I'm a big fan of Adagio's white peach tea, so I thought I'd try something stronger, and it definitely is strong. It's too artificially peach for my liking and overpowering."
