I once had a chocolate plum tea at a restaurant on Prince Edward Island. Chocolate and plum? It seemed like a flavor combination that shouldnt have worked. But oh. It did. Decadent and rich but bright and smooth, with floral notes on the back end. I havent had anything like it before or since. Ive looked all over the place for another chocolate plum tea, but to no avail. So this is my attempt at an analog. Chocolate and cream are present, of course, but the lychee, rose, and blueberries bring the fruity and floral notes of the plum. Enjoy a flavor combination that shouldnt work, but somehow does.
