One of my favorite black teas--it's hearty and great to use as a base tea to blend with.

Light and refreshing! This tea was my trouble tea (since it originally started as green chai instead of thai chai) on the blend. It's since remained Thai Chai (and you can find the original blend with green chai under 'Foolish Took') Thanks for your great help, friends!

Hannibal tea definitely lives up to its name. Almost sickly sweet smelling in the bag, the blood orange and caramel combine for an interesting sensation, and the taste is definitely more mellow than the smell allows you to believe. It is a bold, dark blend, and the combination of blood orange and caramel makes for it's own taste entirely. The Ceylon Sonata evens the blend out and keeps the caramel and blood orange from pushing it over the line. My advice is to put this blend to the test. Be very selective about the amount you're steeping, and steep it for multiple lengths. Try it with sugar and then with milk and then with honey--all of the different ways will produce a different and interesting blend of tea. Be brave, with this tea, be brave and you'll find that you can make this tea be what you wish.

I rarely leave reviews for my own tea, but I needed to leave one for this tea. It's a really complicated tea--not in the brewing, but the experience. When you open the bag, you WILL be punched in the face with Jasmine. It will stick in your nose. When you brew it, the jasmine smell lingers and is very distinct, but when you drink it, it's much more mellow in taste than smell. The smell will continue to trick your mind into thinking the tea is much stronger than it is. I think this is a work-in-progress tea, so we'll see what happens. (3 mins @ 192°F)

This tea has a full-bodied, smooth taste. It's possibly one of my favorite black teas!

One my favorite teas! I love the smoothness, and the floral taste is really heavenly. I love blending this tea with other flavors!
