love oolongs. tastes just like you would expect an oolong tea to taste.
This Shui Xian is a high fired, medium grade oolong with a rich-tasting amber cup and nuances of minerals, apricots and spice.

love oolongs. tastes just like you would expect an oolong tea to taste.
It's not your usual tea. Nice subtle flavor that mixes well with other flavors or is good on its own. Good warm or cold.
I found the tea to be very light, but I was actually looking for a bolder tea with more body. It was okay, just not what I was looking for.
I'm an Oolong fan. Strong, but not overpowering, and sweet, but not fruity. Some oolong teas have fallen short of that wonderful balance, and disappoint with a bitter aftertaste, or just an overpoweringly intense 'black tea flair', as I would term it.
How did this tea do? ... Wonderfully, I say! This will be on the top of my list of teas. ^ ^
this one is highly recommended, really enjoyed the mineral taste. I brewed at 185 for 2.5 minutes and it came out perfect.
How they describe the tea is accurate and its so good i prefer this to more expensive teas!! It brewed a really light color which scared me but it isnt lacking in flavor!!!
This reminds me of hojicha, a little more smooth, and less obnoxious in the dirty flavor. It's smoothness puts a sweetness in my mind that I know is not there (when compared to hojicha). I shall try this tea till i find what it was i thought i was chasing, to the ends of the earth, till the sky is rolled.
Beautiful orange-brown in the pot with an appealing earthy-mineral bite. This one's classic.
This had a great taste. Much better hot than cooled and refrigerated.
I found the tea to be very light and could definitely taste the fruity tones. But, I was actually looking for a bolder tea with more body. It was okay, just not what I was looking for.
This oolong, I fell in love with. It was better I expected. Found it via Dragon Sampler.
Love this tea! Just as comforting as I remember it. The name is perfect!
I thoroughly enjoy the flavor of this tea - it exhibits a woody flavor without being too strong. Oolongs are some of my favorites for black tea, and this is probably the best one I've had.
I didn't really care for this tea. But maybe oolongs are just not for me.
This was a very light tea Great for anytime. I think it would make a great ice tea too
A nice and light oolong, but with a nice body. The first taste brings more of a smoky flavor but then has a very smooth finish. You can taste the mineral notes as well as the fruity notes. The peach and apricot come out lightly but give it its nice smooth finish. Overall a nice oolong if your looking for something that has depth to it but smooth and not heavy.
By itself it was a little too earthy, but adding peach oolong made it more enjoyable for me.
My daughter loved this tea. She is 14 and starting to learn how to reconcile certain tastes I tea.
This tea taste like a plain tea leaf. I like to mix it with a strong flavored black or oolong tea to mellow out the flavor. I like this one though. A little seems to go a long way.
Another great Adagio tea! I steep for 1 to 1 heaping tsp. per cup for 2.5 mins. at 195F. I then re-steep once at 195F for 4-5 mins.
I love flavored tea, but every once in a while I get a craving for something unmessed with, and this was a perfect choice. It's called rain for a reason. This tea tastes like a spring shower. It's fresh and clean and a little bit minerally. If you're looking for something raw and real, this tea is for you.
Yum!! I was not expecting this much flavor after a three minute steep time. The fruity notes are very pleasant and very present, and with a dash of sugar, it's a delicious cup of tea. Very pretty color, too.
My husband loves this tea. Though, his favorite tea is pu erh. I didn't really like this tea very much, but I am not to much into the earth teas.
Nice bold flavor, tastes like drinking a cup of dirt...but not in the gross way.
For the price, it's well worth it. It's not the best that they have, but it's a solid every-day oolong.
A nice green. It's lovely though may not be one of my 'staples'.
Lives up to its name. Reminds me of the smell of wet grass and leaves, when the air seems to have that slight sparkle about it.
I didn't taste the peachy-honey notes. I think this is weak for an oolong. I guess I prefer greener oolongs
This has a mineral taste, in a good way. Not a favorite, but ok.
Fairly good. Fujian rain just has a different character. It is not as intense nor preferable as the Formosa Bai Hao and I doubt (notice my admission of uncertainty)that longer steeping, nor a larger amount of loose tea leaves may change that.
I picked this up at the recommendation of the folks at Adagio in Chicago and I was NOT disapointed! A classic oolong taste without being too smoky, and a bit of floral taste without being too overwhelming. It is household favorite and our go-to for a nice warm cuppa.
Smells amazing. I didn't taste the 'peachy-honey notes', but it's soothing. It's slightly weak though, however.
A tea to be sipped and savored or enjoyed with a stir-fry meal.
This is a good oolong, but if steeped too long becomes very bitter. I prefer wuyi ensemble.
A good every day tea. Was lacking the sweeter honey notes usually found in good wuyi oolong, but still had a nice toasty flavor.
I have tried a few oolong teas and was not impressed. This one was definitely the best I had. I found it to be a bit on the weak side and will have to brew it a minute more than the highest suggested time. I did not pick up on the fruity notes and did not get an overwhelming mineral taste - but definitely smells that way. It was a great tea and I will buy this again.
Unfortunately, this one didn't hit the spot with me. However, my not-as-picky tea drinking nephew enjoyed it.
I must not have a very sophisticated palate. To me, this tea is weak and tasteless. A disappointment.
Update: after trying this a few more times, I find that it has grown on me. It's still not my favorite, but I occasionally crave it. Odd.
2nd update: This is now one of my very favorite teas, and ties for my first place Oolong along with Ti Kuan Yin.
I certainly get the mineral and spice flavors to this tea but not too much more than that. It is a alright tea but I'm not certain that I would buy it again.
Very similar to the Wuyi Oolong with a slightly sweeter taste. I love the earthiness of it almost starts to get to a Pu Erh.
Delicious, medium-roasted oolong tea. Insanely smooth with virtually no astringency. Wonderfully mild taste that is half-way between the vegetable/leaf-like taste of the light-roasts and the fruity/earthy flavors of the dark-roasts. One of my favorite oolongs I have had.
Just the smell is amazing. It does smell a little like ozone, but not overly.
This is an interesting tea with a mellow, toasty flavor to it. I like it.
This is a great budget oolong, it has everything you expect from an oolong and a budget price tag. Will it blow you away, no.. But ya didn't pay top dollar either. Is it a million times better than supermarket oolong, hell yeah it is! Great job Adagio, you never fail to bring second to no one quality teas to the table at a working man's affordability .-)
I had really high hopes for this tea because of the reviews I read... But I wasn't impressed at all by it. It felt bland, and tasted like a really really unsweet tea. I'll finish up the rest of the sampler... But I highly doubt I will ever order this tea again.
Mmmmmm. Like a rainy day. Clean and clear and crisp.
This is very good tea and has a very clean and mineral taste with a wonderful oolong finish. This tea re-steeps multiple times.
This isn't the most amazing oolong in the world but still pleasant nonetheless. I'm not sure that I ever really picked up on the mineral taste but it definitely does have a very strong apricot aftertaste.
Heavily earthy with a suggestion of toasted rice. Astringent.
Granted, the master was away on one of his fool-cum-hero adventures, but I endeavored to try this Fujian Rain, regardless.
My usual man in Soho drew me into a dark, vibrant room: well away from the usual riff-raff of the club.
'Tonight,' he said, his Eastern accent and aspect accentuated by the room and the mist, 'you shall fall like the rain and build the many seas.:
I knew not of what he spoke by I tasted chocolate, light minerals and an earthiness cross my palate before I was, bodily, made fast and asleep.
