Too sugary for me. I do ferment milk kefir, but not the sugary sorts of ferments like water kefir or kombucha.

It's time consuming in waiting. It takes about a week to make the kombucha, then a few days to make flavored kombucha. It's not bad if you're prepared. I got to the point making a half gallon a week and keeping bottles of it in the fridge.

Happy Friday Eve, tea Fronds. It is Jeff's CocoMint that beckoned to me from the tea cupboard, and Milk Oolong was destined for my hubby's cup. He is doing well with his scalp skin cancer preventive treatment so far. We won't be able to get out for our walk today, however, since he is supposed to stay inside today. I'll be doing some cooking and cleaning, along with doing a few more things to set up my cellphone.

Yesterday it was fun to see we have quite a few master level putterers in the communitea! Alas, work does get in the way of this... Today is penguin day! My sketch is on a dry erase board that I took from a random box of stuff my hubby got at an auction. I do love a good dry erase board!

Happy Thursday!!! I made it to the end of another work week! :) Just gotta get through today, and I can relax for a couple days :) Love today's tea! I'm brewing a pot of it to sip this morning :) I've been on a plain black or oolong kick for a few days. I think I will put some fresh lemon slices in my cup today to keep with my plain tea kick but nudge it up a notch. Have a great day, everyone!!

Last night I asked about kombucha because my husband started his first batch last night is I think Assam Melody (I could be wrong) and I was curious if anyone had other faves from adagio for kombucha. I did just look and see a couple blends! Maybe we'll check them out.

Good morning, erh, AFTERNOON everybody! Time keeps slipping away from me lately. So much so that I forgot to chat and like photos yesterday. It was my longest streak of over 200 days so I'm bummed. can someone tell me how the portion cards get upgraded to samples? Do I need 3 of the same card? or is it a different number? is there a button to click or does it happen when I redeem them?

You need 4 cards of the same kind to stack on top of each other (in desktop, won't work on mobile) and then they do a little dance and a text box right below them will ask you if you want to upgrade to a sample size. If you are doing this on desktop, make sure that the cards are not hovering toward the bottom of the screen because the text box will be out of your view to click "yes". Also, certain cards will not upgrade like the zodiac ones, so keep that in mind.

Ann - You get one card every seven days, but that seven day counter doesn't re-start until you "reveal" your newest card by flipping it on the Cards page. You'll know if you have a card waiting to be flipped if that little icon is green! You also get a card for each order you place over a certain value (I forget exactly what the threshold is, if anyone wants to chime in!). You can also receive cards as gifts from other CommuniTEA members!

Has anyone ever heard of Butter bath or butter swim biscuits? I had some blueberries that needed to be used and came across this recipe. OMG! It's like cake. Happy Thursday tea friends! The NFL draft is in downtown Detroit for the next three days. One local meteorologist said any visitors will experience three seasons in those three days. There was a hard freeze during the night. My tulips are leaning down somewhat like they are weighted down. I am waiting to see if they recover or have gotten too damaged by the frost. At least three groups haven’t flowered yet and I would be a bit sad to not see them open up this year. The ones in the backyard were more sheltered by the wood fence and tree and look fine. Tomorrow promises to be ten degrees warmer and by Sunday there is a chance of getting to or exceeding the record high. So we are going from winter through spring and into summer rapidly. Today’s tea is perfect for a winter temperature day. Brisk and hearty in the cup. I enjoyed that cup with some half and half added.
