Jane Eyre lives with her aunt and cousins, her reluctant caretakers. She goes to Lowood School, which barely provides for its students. Jane's best friend, Helen Burns, dies of consumption in her arms. Later, Jane takes a position teaching a French girl, Adele, in the household of a Mr. Rochester. Jane and Rochester fall in love, but the revelation that the potential groom is already married ends the relationship. She is rescued after nearly freezing to death and falls in love with St. John. Jane then learns that Rochester has lost his hand and sight in a fire set by his insane wife, who then dies. Jane realizes that she still loves Rochester, even with his new disabilities. She accepts his new proposal. A tribute to the novel Jane Eyre by Charlotte Bronte. Part of the tea fandom, A Cup of Condensed Classics.
