Bright, coppery Ceylon forms the base of this black tea. Blended with a dark Assam for the rich aroma and caramel for the gentle sweetness of brown sugar, it's finished with the deep earthiness of aged, fermented pu'erh. A touch of marigold petals brings a hint of brightness to this dark tea. This bold tea is not for the timid, but for those able to see light in darkness, however faint.
This tea contains a high level of caffeine | Steep at 212° for 3 minutes.
This tea was inspired by the beautiful and enigmatic character Kyle Carillron in my Key to Hell Chronicles. Kyle is a lost soul -- don't you dare refer to him as a vampire...he takes serious issue with that -- dark, ancient, and powerful beyond ken. He has his own agenda and own code. He walks a line between light and dark so fine that you're never really sure which side he's on, just like this tea.
