'I decided I wanted a green tea for Slytherin since that is their main color and chose the Earl Grey green tea because Earl Grey is such a traditional and refined tea, which makes me think of Slytherin. It's also a dry tea, which makes me think of Slytherin and how they sometimes have a dry wit. I went with oriental spice because it seems exotic and kind of reminds me of something Slughorn would probably like. As for the lapsang souchong, it's described as being 'savory and smoky, yet slightly cool and menthol with a golden-coppery liquor.'
