This Wellness Teas Guide contains just some of the teas centered around healing the body after different illnesses or symptoms, so remember to check out the rest of Adagio's Wellness teas! They are sure to help in getting your body back to feeling its best, or at least provide some comfort.

Breathe Well

New to the Wellness section, Breathe Well is an amazing combination of herbs that can help you take fuller breaths again.

Breathe Well is blended with peppermint, orange, eucalyptus, ginger, cinnamon, fennel seed, licorice, schisandra berry, mullein leaf, and lemongrass.

The ingredients in this new blend are all working together to assist in making breathing easier. The peppermint, also known as Mentha piperita, is actually a crossbreed between water mint and spearmint. The menthol contained in peppermint is used to help clear nasal passages.

Similarly, the eucalyptus included in this blend is its own powerhouse. The oil from the leaves is believed to have a range of medicinal uses. Eucalyptus oil is an ingredient in many over-the-counter cough suppressants and chest rubs.

Ginger and cinnamon have properties that are known to assist in alleviating cold and flu symptoms.

Mullein is a great respiratory tonic. It helps open the lungs, eases spasms, tightness, and cough, and soothes irritation and dryness.

This medicinal tea tastes far from traditional, from the very first sip this blend will provide comfort to both your mind and your body. Predominantly minty with a refreshing menthol cooling effect, a natural sweetness provided by the licorice root and an aromatic set of spicy undertones is the best way to both refresh and comfort yourself in one go.

Helping to aid a multitude of issues so you can relax and recover as quickly as possible. This blend just contains some caffeine so is better suited to the morning or afternoon to avoid disrupted sleep.

Tea-Tox

Cleanse the body while lifting your spirits with the minty freshness and spicy zest of Tea-Tox blend.

Naturally caffeine-free with both anti-inflammatory and antioxidant properties, this blend is specifically formulated to aid you in restoring your body to its natural state. This blend is a mix of burdock, milk thistle, green rooibos, cinnamon, lemon balm, dandelion root, and peppermint.

The Milk Thistle used in this blend (Silybum marianum) contains an active element called silymarin, which is thought to have antioxidant, antiviral, and anti-inflammatory properties. Burdock root has been used for centuries in holistic medicine to treat a variety of conditions. Todiaomtally it was used as a diuretic and digestive aid. But recent research has shown it also contains multiple types of antioxidants and phenolic acid. Which can help protect the body from damage and exposure to free radicals.

A cup of this enjoyed with a teaspoon of honey is the best thing to reach for when you've gone through a bout of sickness and your body is still feeling tired and drained. This blend is naturally caffeine-free and luckily can be consumed at any time of the day without disrupting your usual sleeping pattern.

Throat Therapy

Throat Therapy is just what your sore throat is asking for.

The warm and soothing embrace of sweet licorice, calming anise, and fresh raspberry leaves are a trifecta of comfort. Adagio recommends sipping this one with a bit of honey for that added coating effect.

We all know that one of the worst side effects of sickness can be a sore throat. Especially with allergy season coming up, so many of us struggle with throat issues that are completely out of control so we'll reach for anything that will even slightly help us and give us that little touch of relief. Luckily the Throat Therapy blend does just that.

The Slippery Elm or Ulmus rubra, is a traditional herbal remedy. The active ingredient in slippery elm is called mucilage, which has the ability to coat and soothe the mouth, throat, stomach, and intestines. So this is not only great for throat therapy but also relief from stomach issues and IBS. This is such a soothing sip and herbal staple everyone should have in their tea cupboard year-round for whenever a sore throat arises. A delicate balance of sweet, spicy earthy there's something within this blend for everyone out there no matter your taste preferences.

Red Tent

Red Tent will help relax the mind, calm cramps, and soothe discomfort.

This is a beautifully balanced blend of rooibos, Raspberry Green tea, Jasmine Chun Hao tea, lemon balm, chamomile, fennel seed, and raspberry leaves.

The all-natural anti-inflammatory herbal ingredients that make up part of this blend like raspberry leaves are known to help tone and tighten muscles in the pelvic region, thereby assisting with the cramps caused by spasms of these muscles. Meanwhile, tannins that naturally occur in raspberry leaves are believed to strengthen the uterus, which could help to avoid heavy and irregular bleeding during the menstruation cycle.

Lemon balm and chamomile are known to have calming effects promoting relaxation which is something that would lend a helping hand during cycles when so much extra tension is held within the body.

All in all this lightly-caffeinated brew is the perfect thing to reach for when you need relief from what is usually the worst few days of each month. Enjoy hot with a teaspoon of honey for an extra layer of cozy comfort.
